Built the Trainiac brand from the ground up. Provided creative direction on all photoshoots, videoshoots, and marketing campaigns. Developed our brand voice, tone, and visual aesthetic. Built our company website. Lead a creative team and managed independent contractors.

Photoshoots

Establishing a brand from the ground up requires a heavy content creation cycle to cement the look and feel which you can continue to refer to as you grow and evolve the product.

I designed a variety of shoots to give a fresh, heroic, yet approachable feel to our clients and trainers. Sourcing a creative team, casting trainers/ models, location scouting, lighting, apparel, scheduling, and day-of direction all fell under my scope of work to get the exact look I needed to define our brand.

Bringing the Trainiac brand to life required creative storytelling to capture the energy of our brand and communicate our unique approach to fitness. I helped bring to life different stories that highlighted our trainers, our clients, and our mission. The final products were used in the app as high quality fitness content and in promotional advertising campaigns across organic and paid.

Marketing

Understanding where our core user base spends time online heavily impacted our marketing strategy and campaign structure. When we first started out, I created all of our advertising and social content, but as we grew, moved to managing a creative team to see that work through and provide data + performance information to further inform next steps.
Published campaigns and content on a variety of touchpoints including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Email, and Google Ads.

Website

Determined how to communicate our product in a succinct way, yet provide more context if for those who want to dig in and learn more about what we offer. Developed sites for specific audiences such as trainers, investors, and partners. Also designed an onboarding flow (involving intake questions, trainer selection, and payment) through the site that mirrors our in-app onboarding to meet potential clients where they are.

From brand development through creative direction and marketing I've been able to steer the brand in a direction that is consistently delivering a high quality finish. By utilizing white space, bold color, tight typography, and balanced composition I've been able to set the tone for people getting introduced into our brand at the top of our marketing funnel and carry that through their journey with their trainer in app and beyond.
