Designed software to enable advertisers to measure the effectiveness of their ad campaigns and overall ad spend on and off Facebook. These professional tools helped marketers clearly compare performance across devices, publishers and channels. This suite of measurement solutions enabled advertisers connect their digital marketing investments to real-world business results.

UX Design + Visual Design

Reimagined Android iOS to give Samsung their own proprietary user experience unique to their brand. Exhaustive interaction model and visual design explorations lead to an elegant, organized design complete with app categories and a one of a kind user flows. Final product involved a clean home page that focuses you on what’s most important to you and features a beautiful revolving tile transition to peer into your activity.

Designed a new website that helped Alaska transition from their old brand with dated flows into the fresh look that they're known for today. Part of a small design and strategy team that provided direction on visual design and reimagined site architecture, unique trip-finder features, enhanced profile controls, robust destination recommendations, and inspirational travel articles.

Product Design + Field Research

Developed a tablet app for Alaska Airlines CSA (Customer Service Agent) professionals to empower them with information at their fingertips to better serve their customers in an efficient, friendly manner. This was deployed to all west coast markets and continues to provide CSAs with an opportunity to add a helpful human touch to the Alaska flight experience.

Bio

Stephanie Hughes is a product design leader + creative director with a passion for helping people develop healthy habits and increase their personal effectiveness through technology. She’s fascinated with bridging the gap between digital and physical worlds and has a breadth of skills to develop strategy, identify problems, and solve them with creative solutions. She’s a hustler who works until the job is done right and will rally the team to enjoy the process along the way. She brings energy to the teams she works with and pushes everyone to think BIG.

Stephanie enjoys high-level strategy work as well as high-quality execution. She is experienced at partnering with cross-functional leaders and is an expert in managing clients and creative teams that include design, research, and marketing ICs.

In her down time you can find Stephanie creating in all areas of her life. From remodeling her turn of the century home to creating healthy recipes, she’s always heads down in a project and most happy designing, exploring the world, and listening to music.

Expanding Your Horizons (Conference)
Presented an introductory course to designing useful, delightful, and powerful products for high school girls interested in STEM careers.

Designing With Constraints (Course)
Worked with the UW Master Design program and gave detailed insight to grad students on how to design enterprise software for the tech industry and the constraints that come along with it.

Design + Content Strategy Conference (Conference + Panel)
Presented a deep look into how our team operates at Facebook and how our design + content strategy + research teams work together in harmony to realize the end-to-end user experience together. Separate panel discussion at end of day.

Facebook Seattle Design Mixer (Design Event)
Spearheaded and organized an event welcoming all Seattle design professionals to the new FB Seattle space. Designed our logo, swag, and interactive design activities for guests to engage in topical discussions.

UW Design Guest Critiques
Continuously in touch with the University of Washington design program to provide guest design critiques to students refining their skills.
